What is FOLK?

FOLK- Family of Lord Krishna is an initiative of International society for Krishna Consciousness Kanpur for creating a united family of dedicated & devoted patrons who are willing to support the uphold of Vedic & Modern principles for welfare of the society centered around the principles of sanatan dharma.

Folk patronship is an opportunity to become part of ISKCON Kanpur’s family, serve Krishna and get Krishna’s unlimited blessing in our life. Folk patronship is initiated to give any one the chance to help with ISKCON Kanpur’s Preaching/welfare activities while still remaining with their family at home and take part in ISKCON Kanpur’s spiritual activities in association with devotees. Srila Prabhupad’s vision was ‘more devotees and happy devotees’ and when we come together to serve Krishna and devotees then we can make our life and other’ life successful. FOLK patronship is one of the way which provide this facility to connect ourselves again with Krishna and his devotees.

Why should we join FOLK  membership?

1- As Krishna told in BG 9.27

yat karoṣi yad aśnāsi

yaj juhoṣi dadāsi yat

yat tapasyasi kaunteya

tat kuruṣva mad-arpaṇam

Translation: Whatever you do, whatever you eat, whatever you offer or give away as charity, and whatever austerities you perform—do that, O son of Kunté, as an offering to Me.

2- To diversify ISKCON Kanpur’s preaching/welfare movement and connect more soul in this material world to the lotus feet of Krishna and Srila Prabhupada, we need everyone’s contribution as donation. Donation collected is going to be used for Vigraha Seva, Go-Seva, Sadhu Seva, Jan Seva, Temple Construction & maintenance, Rural Development, promotion of Art & culture, Value education( for school students, college students, temple visitors) etc.

What is the benefits of Folk patronship and how to apply?

  1. Patrons has to give at least 100 Rs per month to become part of the FOLK Patronship. Devotees does not have to pay it through cash, check or DD. For the convenience of all devotees, they can provide their account number and money will get deducted from their account every month.
  2. Devotee who is coming forward to make contribution for the FOLK membership will also be getting an opportunity to do Arati directly to Lord Sri Sri Radha Madhava ji during Janmashtami festivals.
  3. Birthday greetings for FOLK patrons every year. Along with this there are many gifts which will be given as blessings from lord in form of calendar, prasad etc.
  4. Each FOLK members will be provided Badges. They will also receive blessings of Lord in form of calendar or diary once in year.

NACH Mandate is an authorization form that consumers provide to Organizations to Debit recurrent funds.

  • The main motive of NACH mandate is to facilitate funds transfer Electronically.
  • Collecting recurrent funds from your donors having banks accounts across the country is hassle free without the need to rely on your donors to remit funds.
  • In case of regular mandate donor fills the physical mandate form. In case of e-Mandate donor fills it online through the net banking or debit card.
  • E-Mandates can be directly set up through a net banking transaction from merchant websites.
